Dirty Martini acquires 9th site

LONDON, UK – 13th July 2016... Leading leisure operator CG Restaurants & Bars has announced the continued growth of their Dirty Martini brand, with the addition of a new site in the City of London.

As part of an ongoing expansion plan Dirty Martini has acquired City favourite Mary-Jane’s from the Mint Group.

CG will invest £1.2 million transforming the 6,500 square foot Minories venue into the group’s ninth Dirty Martini. Mint Group will be focussing on the roll out of their restaurant business Mommi and all Mary-Jane’s staff will transfer to CG Restaurants & Bars.

Since opening its first bar in the heart of Covent Garden Piazza, Dirty Martini has enjoyed rapid growth under CG Restaurants & Bars, developing a reputation for bespoke cocktails and stylish interiors. What started as a 1,200 square foot basement in Covent Garden has developed into one of the most popular cocktail bar groups in London.

Scott Matthews, Chief Executive Officer at Dirty Martini, said, “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for Dirty Martini. Over the last three years we have had outstanding success in the City, growing by 8% ytd versus 2015 and we strongly feel that Dirty Martini Minories will be a great addition to the portfolio.”

The bar group currently operates seven sites in London across Bishopsgate, Clapham, Covent Garden, Hanover Square, Islington, Monument and St Paul’s and will open its first site out of London in Cardiff in October.
